Starling is a bike brand that is growing day by day. What started out as a side-project for founder Joe McEwan, Starling is now a bustling bike brand in a brand-new premise and a team of builders behind him working through what seems to be an endless waiting list of orders.
We were fortunate enough to receive one of Starling’s early version Swoop frames which still resembles todays current builds but they have evolved quite a bit since then.
I can’t go for a ride without having to stop and chat about the bike or Starling. I even get chants from fellow riders shouting “steal is real”, “Made in Bristol” or the classic “Hey dude, I love that bike!”.
The reality is that the components on our bike are pretty basic but there is something about it which turns heads.
To own a Starling is truly special!
Starling launched the Murmur some time ago and due to high demand, they made available a factory version of the frames earlier in the year. You don’t get the custom build you would from Joe’s team but you do get the same handmade quality and the same kick ass frame design.
Starling also announced yesterday that they have now made available and XL version of the Factory Murmur. The new XL Murmur will have 515mm reach, 480mm seat tube length and 1298mm wheelbase.
Watch this space. Starling is going places! And, if you love these frames I would suggest getting your name on the list as there is a queue.
